Victoria Sutcliffe
Dental Surgeon GDC No 70598

Victoria is the practice owner; she took over the reigns in February 2020.

Having qualified locally at Newcastle University with distinction in Child Dental Health in 1995 she gained extensive experience in several North East practices in Jarrow, Durham City and Alnwick. She has recently undergone training in order to provide facial aesthetic treatments at Aesdent

Amar Naur

Dr Amar Naru is well known by many patients at Aesdent. He owned the practice from 2003 until Jamie Robson took over in 2014.
When Victoria bought the practice, Amar returned as an associate. At the end of 2022, he decided to take a sabbatical to concentrate on other ventures, specifically portraiture. He can be contacted on his website www.amarnaru.co.uk

Millie Waters

Trainee Dental Nurse

The newest member of the team, Millie joined the practice after finishing her GCSEs in 2023 with the aim of qualifying as a Dental Nurse.

She enjoys going on runs and long walks with her friends and family. She also loves to take her dog Rocco out.

Mia Remmington

Dental Nurse GDC No 273676

Mia qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2017 and joined Aesdent that year.

She works part-time as she is a zoology student, completing her MSc at present and hoping to go on to further studies.

Anya Gazey

Dental Nurse GDC No 307916

Anya joined and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2023. She’s usually found in Surgery 1 with the Dentists where she particularly enjoys conservation (that’s fillings!).

In her spare time, she enjoys camping and shopping trips, as well as travelling the world.

Sophie Roberts

Dental Nurse GDC No 310411

Sophie joined the team in 2020 as a trainee and qualified in 2023, delayed through Covid 19. She loves all aspects of dental nursing but due to her particularly calm and efficient manner you’ll more often see her at Reception.

Sophie’s hobbies include going to the gym, modifying cars and walking her two Labradors, Marley and Miyaz.

Viktorija Ruhmane

Dental Therapist GDC No 286902

Viktorija joined the practice as a qualified Dental Nurse in 2017 but always had ambitions for further study in Dentistry. She returned to Teesside University to undertake her degree in Dental Therapy and Hygiene and on qualifying we were excited to welcome her back as our Hygienist.

She has further ambitions to provide injectable skin treatments in the near future at Aesdent.

In her spare time Viktorija is a keen cook and loves travelling.

Andrew Whitham

Dental Surgeon GDC No 114309

Andrew qualified from Sheffield University in 2007, originally from Lancashire he returned home, working in general practice for the next 10 years. Andrew and his family relocated to the North East in 2017.
Andrew enjoys the challenges of working in general dental practice, meeting new patients and building rapport with them. He always aims to be patient and thorough in his approach. It is important to him that his patients felt heard and have an input into their dental care.

Outside of dentistry, Andrew is kept busy by his two daughters, who are both involved in gymnastics and stage school. He enjoys family holidays, cooking and keeping fit by running regularly and weight training.

Russell Colclough

Dental Surgeon GDC No 81831

Russell is a local lad, he was brought into the world at St Marys, Jesmond just along the street!

Russell started his dental career gaining his degree from Newcastle University, in 2003. He then passed further exams to gain membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
Working predominantly in private dentistry at some of the North East’s premiere practices, he developed a keen interest in cosmetic reconstructive and implant dentistry. To further learn the required skills within these subject areas, he has taken part in multiple courses in the UK, Europe and the USA.

We are delighted to have Russell here on the team at Aesdent and excited that many of our patients will be able to benefit from his expertise knowledge, experience and talent in the area of dental implant surgery.

An avid family man, Russell loves spending time with his son, especially when there’s Lego to play with!

Robin Chakravorty

Robin qualified in Manchester in 1994. He has a vast wealth of experience in providing general dentistry, orthodontic treatment and skin injectables at his own practice in West Yorkshire. At Aesdent, Robin provides out of hours care.

He’s a keen rugby fan and enjoys keeping fit by training in mixed Martial Arts.
