Located in Jesmond, Brandling Park Dental Practice is a private, family run dental practice established in 1890. It is also known as AesDent because of the emphasis it places upon providing beautiful, high quality, aesthetic dentistry. We aim to treat patients as we’d like to be treated ourselves; in a relaxed environment, using state of the art materials and techniques. New patients to the practice are made to feel extremely welcome from the moment that they contact us.
The practice was originally established by Mr. W.D. Moon at 8 Jesmond Road in 1890, making it the oldest surviving practice in Newcastle, if not the north east region as a whole. In 1895 he became one of the five founders of the Newcastle Dental Hospital which is today part of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Mr. Moon was the first dentist nationally to be entered in the Dentists Register held at the General Dental Council.
Mr. R.H. Reay moved the practice to 6 Park Terrace in 1934 and he was joined in 1949 by Mr. C.L. Routledge. Mr. M. Priestley joined the practice in 1961, moving the practice to its present location of 6 Brandling Park. He was joined by Mrs. V. Wilkin in 1983 and Mr M. Cook three years later. Dr. Dookin and Mr. Winkley in between, Dr. A.S. Naru took over the practice in 2003. Dr. J. Robson, the current principal dentist, joined in 2014.
Jamie, along with his wife Claire, would like to welcome you to the practice and look forward to looking after your dental care. Call or email us today to arrange an appointment.
